Module 1

The Constitution

The Supreme Law. This document defines the rights, duties, and powers of every citizen in the school.

“We, the students of this school, in order to form a more perfect community, establish justice, ensure peace, provide for common growth, and secure the blessings of education to ourselves and our juniors, do ordain and establish this Constitution.”

Article I: Citizenship

Section 1. All registered students are citizens of the Student Body.

Section 2. Rights of Citizens:

  • Right to Vote: Every student from Grade 4-8 has one vote.
  • Right to Speech: Freedom to submit ideas via the “Voice Box”.
  • Right to Safety: Protection from bullying and unfair treatment.

Article II: The Parliament

Section 1. Composition: The Parliament consists of the Head Boy/Girl (Executives), 11 Ministry Heads (Cabinet), and Class Representatives (Legislature).

Section 2. Sessions: Parliament meets on the last Saturday of every month.

Section 3. Quorum: 60% attendance is required to pass any bill.

Section 4. The Veto: The School Principal holds veto power over decisions affecting safety or finance.

Article III: The Election Code

Section 1. Method: Elections are by Secret Ballot only. Show of hands is prohibited to prevent peer pressure.

Section 2. Eligibility: Candidates must have 75% attendance and no major disciplinary record.

Section 3. Campaigning: Bribery (giving gifts/candy) results in immediate disqualification.

Daily Routine
